Career Pathways Scholarship
At Greenville Technical College, we offer an affordable education focused on high-demand careers. Our Career Pathways Scholarship can make your education even more affordable, covering tuition, fees and books for many programs so that you can pursue your career goals without financial worry.
CAREER PATHWAYS SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify for the Career Pathways Scholarship at GTC, academic students must
- be South Carolina residents
- be enrolled in an eligible program
- have a high school diploma or GED on file with GTC Admissions
- take six credit hours or more per semester
- have a 23-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file at GTC
- if an existing GTC student, maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher while enrolled in a credit program (does not apply to new students who have never had a previous academic record at GTC)
The following student types are not eligible: career development, transient, dual enrollment/Early College and international students.

For academic students, tuition and eligible fees can be covered by the Career Pathways Scholarship at GTC if a balance remains after the below aid has first applied:
- Federal Pell Grant
- FSEOG (Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant)
- LIFE Scholarship
- SCNBG (South Carolina Need-Based Grant)
- SCLTA (SC Lottery Tuition Assistance)
- GTC Foundation
This scholarship pays up to $5,000 a year (split over the fall, spring and summer terms) for tuition, books and course-related materials. Up to $2,000 will be awarded for Fall Semester, up to $2,000 will be awarded for Spring Semester, and up to $1,000 will be awarded for Summer Term.
2023 Fall & 2024 Spring award amounts:
- $2,000 (full time, 12+ credit hours)
- $1,500 (3/4 time, 9-11 credit hours)
- $1000 (1/2 time, 6-8 credit hours)

New Academic Students
- complete your Admissions application & all enrollment steps
- complete the FAFSA & submit all required documents
- regularly check Self Service for Financial Aid located in GTC4me to ensure your financial aid file is complete - submit all required forms and documents, etc.
Current Academic Students

Non-credit/Continuing ed Students
If you’re interested in one of GTC’s eligible non-credit programs, contact the program director for those areas. Non-credit programs do not require an Admissions application or completed FAFSA.
